Creative. That is the word that I would use for dressing the bump these days. As it gets rounder, the options of from my regular closet are getting slimmer. Luckily I have found a piece that works. Not only is it multi-functional but I know I will be able to wear it after baby. And it just happens to be super cute too! What is it you ask? It is the wrap dress. The wrap dress has slowly become a go-to piece for that can be worn 2 different ways. The extra fun part is, you don’t have to be pregnant to style the wrap dress the same way I do! I found this darling wrap dress at one of my favorite spots Kindred at Oak Park Mall from the boutique Brook and Sloane. Brook and Sloane is a newer boutique to me and I found so many things that I loved from it. But when I spotted this vibrant print, it reminded me of a something my grandmother would have worn, and I just knew I needed it!

How to wear it as a wrap dress!

Styling the wrap dress as a dress is pretty straightforward. It is a great style for pear shaped girls because the crisscross neckline elongates the torso and the tie waist cinches in your waist. Since it is still pretty chilly out there, I paired it with my over the knee boots. When wearing tall boots with dresses in the winter, make sure your hemline covers the top of your boots because that is a style must!

How to wear it as a duster!

This is my second wrap dress that I have purchased to wear as a duster while pregnant because it turns into the perfect 3rd piece! To fashion your wrap dress as a duster, simply take the waist tie to the inside of the garment and tie together to bring the sides in and voila! Make sure not to tie too much back. To add a little interest to this look, I decided to pair it with a black top, blue jeans and black over the knee boots. This look is slimming (as much as it can be 🙂 cohesive and cute! To add a retro vibe, I added a scarf tie to my hair with some of the coordinating colors!

Don’t be afraid to look outside the box when adding pieces to your wardrobe. And don’t be afraid to be creative when styling these items as well. You never know…you might invent a brand new way to style something yourself!
